Updating firmware through 2g

iam trying to update my samsung galaxy y through mobile 2g network. any chance to corrupt or any occurance of errors??

in my experience, no. will just take a long time to download, was on metropcs, and it took like anhour to download 2.3 gingerbread. backup your work, if you have any problems after update jus factory reset the device and you should be good to go.
