Help updating firmware

when searching for newer firmware can i put in the fus downloader any out of these
sephail.net - Samsung FUS Downloader
versions or does it depend which firmware i already have on my galaxy, or on which network i am on ?
i need it to have english language ( since mine , croatian, isnt't supported ) and not to lock on any network

if you mean on help us help you thread, i would have written all of that info but there are two galaxy's a i want to upgrade firmware on so i want to understand the process ,not just for someone to give me the solution.

it doesnt lock it,
the stickies will tell you how to remove the carrier specific stuff on the guides on how to use odin etc

the firmware you choose is entirely up to you.
i would use the ones recently posted on these forums though as they have been downloaded and extracted from FUS already

it doesnt matter ? i read how to use Odin , i just wasnt sure can i use any of these specs or do i need to look out for some specific csc version , suffix, phone version
can i also make my own combinations out of these ?
i read csc is carrier customisation stuff, but dont know how does suffix or phone version effect on firmware you want to download ? suffix presents the country you are looking into to see which is the latest firmware released there ? what does phone/pda version do ?

seeing as your phone isn't locked with any carrier (same as me), you probably wanna just get the newest firmware (ik5 atm afaik? running ik4 myself) and leave the csc out of it
