Help Updating Questions

I got my samsung i9003 the other day and was a bit gutted there was no official update out yet available for me in England.
Some questions what i'd be really grateful for if you could answer them...

-When will the official update come out in kies in the UK?

-Do other country's already have official update to gingerbread

-Is it really worth updating if so many are facing problem's?

-Is it the same with official updates that so many experience problems?

well here in india we do have an gingerbread update here and the update is worth too. i guess you can download lates version of kies then change the settings on yur phone to india after that it is quite possible to upgrade to kies
