Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
I tried upgrading to v1.3 but had problems (lost connection to programs on the home page, unable to connect to Android market) yesterday and so I ended up resetting, upgrading to 1.3, then rooting it again. This experience is based on my NC so you might/will probably fare better.
It works fine now.

[NC][1.2][1.3] ManualNooter 4.6.16 - xda-developers
Assuming you've never nootered before, scroll down one page to this section:
1.3 Must do these instructions first with 4.5.18 then with 4.6.16.
ok so i found out how to do the zip files. should i do one and then the other or can i put them both on the sd card at the same time and do it that way? sorry im like super new to thisThe links work fine here in 3 different web browsers.
You could try right-click on the link and "save target as".
I just updated the 1.3 update guide here, but use this for creating the bootable sd card since they're using older files: How to make a bootable CWM (ClockWorkMod) recovery sd card

now when i plug it into the computer the CWM recovery doesnt come up it just has a box that says usb mode. i did everything exactly as the directions saidYou can copy both, but when you choose zip from CWM recovery, pick 4.5.18 the first time, and 4.6.16 the second time.

ok so i got the first one and i installed the first zip folder now it has 4 options??
I don't think you did.
After creating the bootable sdcard, and copying the files, you turn off your Nook Color, put it in your Nook Color and turn it on and your Nook will boot off the sdcard.
The instructions say to plug it into your computer to turn it on, but I don't see where that's needed since you have a power button that does that too.
What are you doing (or seeing) that's different from that?
