Upgrade date changed

Verizon went ahead and changed everyones upgrade date that wasn't exactly at the 2 year mark.

Mine was dated for Feb 2014. Was perfect as that's tax time.

Now it's June 2014, my full 24 months.

Verizon doesn't want to make it right. =\

I believe it is 20 months from the date of your purchase and not 24 months.

Did you purchase in June making 20 months February and 24 months June?

I had read that they were changing their policy from 20 months to the full 24. Not entirely sure why, but knowing Verizon it was probably a move to increase profit margins.........

Consistent with what I got. I got notified last week that I was eligible for an upgrade (after 20 months). Purchase was September 2011.

OOP is correct, I had one line that expires Dec 15th, and it remained a 20 month upgrade. My next line was a July 2014 date, and it reverted. In my opinion this was not a smart move by Verizon. Before they had a 4 month exclusivity period where if a customer wanted a subsidized phone, they were limited to Verizon only (without paying the ETF that is). Now a customer who is eligible for a new phone can also shop other carriers since they will be out of contract. Even analysts in the latest earnings call were concerned about it...

Another way Verizon is thanking their loyal customers. I am also a fan of paying them for the privilege of turning on the phone I just bought

It wasn't a smart move.

This made me decide to move to T-Mobile and their no contract setup. :)

I may end up doing the same thing. I'll give verizon a chance to let me upgrade when I was supposed to. I do like they're 4g. Although this is very annoying

Not really that big of a deal to me. I've been with another company that offered incentives like this that took them away. These phones are expensive. If the company can get an extra 4 months from the phone then that is a tremendous savings to them. I would rather wait an extra 4 months than have an even higher phone bill cause the haft to have it offset somewhere.

That's what I plan on doing. If they leave me in the dark, again, I'm done.

They've done nothing but treat me bad and refuse to replace my phone.
