Upgrade from desire?

So I've got my upgrade tomorrow, is this one to get? Responses please from you folk who already have sxe. Would you get it again or would you wish you had chosen something else...if so, what?

I had the original Desire too, nice phone.

My XE has a few annoyances and quite frankly it could be better.

  • Wifi death grip - more apparent the further you are from the router
  • Phone signal not fantastic - possibly due to antenna design
  • Camera image quality not very good
The battery life is better than the Desire though and obviously the larger screen is nice to have, also there's plenty of app storage.

If I was in the market for a new phone now then I'd take another look at the GSII, possiblr even the Nexus. I don't like Touchwiz though and the Sense interface swung me towards the XE.

I have no issues with my XE to be honest and I too came from a Desire. No issues with WiFi and once I tweaked my camera its better than the Desire.

I honestly think the build quality of the XE is much better than the Samsung and i have compared both. But get in a shop and try them both out.

Coming from a Desire I can say I absolutely love my white XE. I've not noticed any problems with signals to be honest and the amount of space available for apps is massive compared to the Desire.

Build quality is great and feels a really nice phone in your hand. The GS2 feels like a kids toy or a cheap PAYG in comparison.

I can't comment on the Nexus as I've not had chance to use one.

The headphones on the XE are brilliant as well.

.....once I tweaked my camera its better than the Desire.

How do you tweak the camera mate? I've not been massively impressed with the camera but then my Desire pics always had a slight blue tinge to them I felt.

I've upgraded to the xe. The sgs2 just seemed too light and wimpy. The nexus too big. I think this htc is at the max size is be happy with, ideally probably a touch smaller. Let's hope everyone in here is as helpful as the desire forum.
