Help upgrade samsung gt - i7500

hi to all the members and creators of this amazing site......
my name is dhawal n m using samsung gt - i7500. it came with android 1.5 and i up graded it to 1.6 but now a days every android phone is running on min of 2.2 android...................i just want somebody to help me upgrade my phone to android 2 atleast ...............guys m waitin for your valuable replies......

thing about the phone you have is that the carrier and manufacturer supplies the updates, if there is no update for the phone you have, then their wont be won, unless there is a custom rom that will put you on the most current android version. you would basically need to root and install a custom rom through rom manager, but i would search these forums to see what you can work with first.
