Help Upgrade SD Card

I bought a new SD card to use in my phone. Is there any reason I can't just copy what's on my current card to my pc, and then over to my new card?

Hmm, only think I can think of is that if the OS are different and the PC might not see all the file on the card and might not copy everything. I know windows (vista) can't read some file types from Linux, on my computer when i plug in the phone SD it thinks some files are corrupted.

For more generic file types (music, pics, etc) you can copy them no problem.

I don't see why not. Its the same as copying files from a usb to your computer and then copying them over to another usb afterwards. I would imagine this as being the same as copying your TB folder onto your computer before flashing and then copying them back over to the phone again. Should be the same concept

That's what I figured. I went ahead and gave it shot and it seems to be working okay. The only strange thing was is that the card reader I have didn't recognize my new SD card, so I had to install it in the phone and then copy the files. I was afraid the phone OS may have had some of the files locked, but that didn't turn out to be a problem.

There are three major types of SD cards now that represent larger capacity, SD (SDSC), SDHC, and SDXC. The same notations work for microSD cards too. If you have a microSDHC card, it will not work in an older microSD card reader that is not microSDHC compatible.

tl;dr Get a microSDHC card reader.

Speaking of a microSD card, if you're not currently using it as your Titanium or MyBackup Pro backup destination...it would be a good idea to start doing so.
