hi, the phone keeps telling me that a upgrade to FOTA Client is available. What is this, and why do I need this upgrade? Do this upgrade use more battery? If I don't want this, how do I stop this message? Do you recomend that I install this?
This may be related to the new software version (1.47.401.4) for the Desire S. See this other thread for more information, although not that much is known about what it does.
To stop the phone automatically checking for software updates and asking you if you want to download any found, Menu > Settings > About phone > Software updates > uncheck Scheduled check.
Personally, I'd like to know more about what this update does and would prefer to see a change log before installing it.
However, it's an official update, so should be ok, but as the update isn't available to me yet, I'm not really in a position to recommend it.
