all right, no response yet from other forum. Q: Am I able to buy a galaxy nexus (GSM unlocked) and flash to metro, still being capable of having 4g? I'm upgrading from admire, possibly

I'm at work ATM, was on break. and they do. I just read on metro forums that if you flash a device to metro you won't get 4g, even though its capable of it

gsm.....no. only cdma will work with metro. it needs houdini in first and then you won't get picture mail without flashing the modded message.apk and you won't get 4g i don't think.. but i haven't tried it on a nexus yet. no 4g on my evo.
i don't think you will get what you want if it is possible to use gsm with metro cdma

The GSM Galaxy Nexus won't be compatible with MetroPCS's CDMA network. You need a SIM card for it to get service, and I highly doubt Metro has them as they're CDMA.

You could look around for other prepaid carriers. H20, Simple Mobile, Etc.

well you won't get 4g on your nexus your only gonna have 1x and that's slow I have an evo flashed to metro and it sucks no 4g wat so ever

metro uses a special sim card for its 4G service so you definitely will not get 4G service by flashing from another carrier
