Upgrading from Eris

I've narrowed down my search to the iPhone 4/4s and the Incredible 2...

I'm upgrading at the begining of March. My current phone is the Droid Eris and I've not been happy with it for about 18 months. The battery life and the camera are both a joke. I like to be able to easily sync my contacts and what not with Google and use Google Voice.

What is the battery life like on the Incredible 2 with GPS on and normal to moderately high usage? I know the iPhone 4 or 4s camera is obviously going to be superior, but as long as the INC 2 camera is good enough (not tons of blurry/out of focuse) I'd be okay. Also, how well does the video camera (front/rear facing) film? Is it even HD?

My other concern is software upgrades. I got the Eris and then within 3 or 4 months they stopped offering software updates. This forced me to root my phone. I appreciate all of the benefits of it, but don't want to be FORCED into rooting.

I know this is an Android forum and most of you are going to be a little biased, but I apprreciate the input!
