Accessories Upgrading SD Card

Hello,

I've ordered a 16GB SD Card and was just wondering what the procedure for upgrading would be. I'm assuming (as I cant find any info about it on the forums) that it's a simple as unmounting the original one copying all files and folders to the new sd card and installing the new card into my phone.

Running the official 2.2 Froyo build.

Yes you just put the "things" you want onto the new card then put the new card into the Desire - done.

You do not have to copy any of the "special" Desire files from your old card as the phone will put them onto the new card for you.

What if I have installed some apps to the SD card. Will they carry on working? There is nothing special or encrypted about the folder?

If you've installed apps to SD card (app2sd), you have to copy the 'android secure' folder to the new card. I'm assuming you're using froyo. Otherwise the apps will break.
