Upgrading to the HTC DNA

I've had the Incredible since Launch day, back in April 2010 approximately. I've been waiting for a new phone to really impress me, and I think this is it. I also think this is the heir to the Incredible line, although the DNA name stinks.

Anyone else making this switch? I was a little concerned about no micro SD slot (and pissed that Verizon would request the slot removal) and the sealed battery, but I figure Google Music and Juice Defender will help me get past those two letdowns. The screen is beautiful, and really doesn't feel "huge" in hand despite being 5 inches.

I plan on keeping the rooted Incredible at home for some uses (music, root apps). Do you guys find that you still use old smartphones once it has been disconnected? I was really close to getting an iphone 5 just a week ago, but prefer the customization possible on Android.

Hope I never see another low memory, clear Data message after the upgrade. That was my only issue with the Incredible. :beerglass:
 
I say go for it! I too have had the Incredible since launch, and I still use it today. I was convinced that I wanted an iPhone 5 up until a couple weeks ago when I started researching the DNA. I plan on heading out to our local Verizon store this weekend to check it out. If I end up liking it, I think I'll pull the trigger on it. I'm pretty embedded with Google maps, Gmail, Music and Calendar.

I have found that I never have really even pulled the 8GB SD card from my phone, so I think I'll be fine with "only" 11GB free. I plan to get a new line for the phone so I can switch it over to my current "unlimited data" line to try and keep that. Hopefully the switch from a 3G to 4G phone on that line goes smooth.
 
My first Android phone was an incredible, and it made me the fan you see now. And I can honestly say this is the best Android phone yet. The screen will blow you away. Battery life is great, even on 4G, and it's smooth as silk. I have no reservations at all telling you to get it. :)
 
Thanks guys. As I've been reading about it more, I also want to try and keep unlimited data. I'm wondering if I do this by adding a new line, can I drop the current line? I don't actually need an extra line, I just want the unlimited data. I've become buddies with the guy at the Verizon store today, so I'm hoping he'll hook me up somehow. Heading there now actually
 
Update: I upgraded last night, and loving the DNA. The screen is stunning, and all around a great package. Only complaint is how flush the power and volume buttons are to the phone, sometimes it takes 2-3 attempts to hit them.

I was also able to keep the unlimited on 4G, only because I'm on a family plan with a "dumb phone" on one of the other lines. Not sure of the actual mechanics, but its a loophole where they add the data plan to the dumb phone and then switch it to mine. I recommend going to a Verizon authorized retailer rather than an actual Verizon store, they don't mind helping you keep unlimited.

However, my LTE speeds here in Dallas are not dramatically faster than 3G. Using the Speedtest app, the fastest I've got was 4.3 Mbps download and 1.33 Mbps upload. Maybe I'm just not in the best area for it..
 
Yeah, I did that to get my DNA too, I did it at a corporate store, they are just as willing to help you do that.
