Help upload hotmail not contacts

I have a new razr m phone. I would like to install my hotmail but not my 400+ hotmail contacts. I already have 225 google and backup assistant contacts.
Help? thanks.

when installing the hotmail server to the device does it give you the option to not sync contacts?
