Uploaded Video Quality?

Hello!
Today I went to the beach and tried out the camera on the phone and the quality is as follows..

Imperial Beach - YouTube

A few things about this.. It's nowhere near as great looking watching on my laptop versus watching on my phone. Why is that?

Also why does it have the black bars?

I have the settings and quality turned up on the phone..

Anybody else notice this or try uploading it up to youtube or facebook? Let me know what you think!

Ok... just as I submitted on this thread.. the youtube version gave me the option of 1080P versus the 720p so it looks much better! It still looks much better on the phone but I think that's just because my laptop screen isn't as advanced as my phone!
