Uploading Photos to Facebook???

I just got the captivate (had the backflip) and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to upload photos to facebook. With the backflip it was so simple, take the pic, tap share, tap facebook.

I tried that on this phone but when I do share my options are picasa, bluetooth, gmail, email, allshare, messaging and online locker.

And when I log onto facebook through the website or app there is no option for uploading photos.

I have googled this topic to death and find absolutely nothing...

Someone HELP ME!!
 
oh no its added. I get all my updates and whatnot but I cannot upload photos.

When I go to accounts & sync FB sync is on
 
If you've added the account, then you should be able to view the photo in question in the gallery, then hit menu, & then the share button, which should pop up your FB acct as an option.
 
That's what I thought but FB isnt showing as an optin when I do share. And it says my FB account is added to my phone. I really just dont get it???

BTW I have tried deleting my FB account and re-adding it but same deal with trying to upload.
 
Yes and I have tried different fb apps but none seem to work. Could it maybe be the fb sync problem people are having? Every now and then my fb sync has that error.
 
my FB app quite clearly shows a button to the left of the "What's on your mind?" edit box that has a camera logo on it. Pressing it will bring up the camera and allow you to take a picture and upload it directly. that said, does anyone know how to upload a pic from the gallery?

The way it worked on my backflip was you go to gallery click the pic then share and facebook.


I have no button to the left of the status bar. Time to try resetting the phone to start over.

open your pic through the gallery hit the menu button next to the home button and you will get the onscreen menu for share tap share and select facebook

That was the problem. I wasn't getting fb as an option for uploading. So I restarted my phone to start from scratch and that seemed to work. Not sure what happened the first time I downloaded the fb for android app but whatever it works now.
 
Anyone having the issue where photos don't show up on Facebook rotated in the proper orientation? Even if they display properly on the phone. Nor is there a function in the Facebook Android app to rotate photos you've already uploaded.

I keep having to go into Facebook's website and rotating them back properly.

When you say you restarted your phone, do you mean like a full factory reset? Because I am having the same problem and would like to avoid a full reset if possible...

Unfortunately it was a hard reset that I did. Have you tried uninstalling the fb app and reinstalling it. I don even use the fb app anymore I use friendcaster formly known as flow and i upload pics thru that

try taking the pic in the wide screen mode so to say instead of the phone being up and down like your talking on it. when you go to post it on FB it will/should be the right orientation, then. if not, this is what i do. take the pic then crop it, and it will set it to the right orientation for posting online.
 
I use Dropbox.
This would not be 100% helpful to you guys though if you're searching for a direct phone to Facebook sharing of photos, that does not involve use of a computer.
