USB 2 Ethernet adapter?

I heard more info recently so I thought I resurrect this thread.
Since 9/11 it is very erie that everything is put upon us to be more openly sharing.
WiFi despite it's claim of secure encryption does not appear to be very secure.

Mate, in today's world, anything and everything can easily be decrypted nomatter the form of encryption. It just takes a little time (not as long as you think it would).

You just need the right equipment (which most governments and secret services almost always posses).

So if you think security is an issue, better take care of what you do around the internet ;)

Wireless signals themselves can be secure to outsiders since they are encrypted. However, its useless if that person is connected to the network, since they know how the network is encrypted. At that point, a wireless AP is no more secure than the old ethernet hubs of yesteryear. Heck, even ethernet switches can be fooled into sending traffic to the attackers port (instead of the router) if the sniffer knows what they are doing.

If you need true security on foreign networks, you need to use an encrypted VPN so all your internet traffic is encrypted.

Hello, I've read this interesting thread. I don't like Wifi too, because it can destroy our health.
I am always looking for products with ethernet connection. If you have seen my post a couple of days ago, I try to find a solution to download an APP and use it OFFLINE. Why is this so difficult?

And I agree with the others like me:

Use Wifi, mobile phones etc. as less as possible. We can make our telephonecalls at home, do we?
Why take the risks?

As an IT professional, I - for one - would LOVE to have a simple cable (MicroUSB-to-RJ45) for both my tablet and/or my phone that allowed me to plug directly into routers, switches, Access points, servers, firewalls and PCs

This would be INVALUABLE for troubleshooting, configurations and a serious cool factor.

How hard can it be, with dev's creating custom kernels that can make a Droid look like a freaking iMac, to have a USB (or microUSB) port kick out an ethernet-like signal that allows for direct tablet/phone-to-<enter network device here> communications..

Hell, I'd pay for the cable / application / combo in a heart-beat...

They already have a way to access routers and switches. DL terminal emulator and get yourself a micro usb to usb to console cable. they sell them on amazon. I can honestly say that I have personally configured a cisco router with my nexus 4 ;) ...just for shits and giggles... mostly giggles...
