Help USB 3.0 and Linux for note 3 file transfers

OK question to the note 3 owners that have linux computers?

so I see the note 3 options for usb only include 3.0 for meda on windows. or at least my phone only shows this.

My main PC at home is a Linux box and happens to be the only device I own that has USB 3.0

now when I connect up on those ports with the cable - I do find file transfers are rather fast.

but the 3.0 notification icon doesn't show up on the phone - and I don't know for certain that I'm actually using 3.0 - since apparently on the VZW phones - to use USB 3.0 they want to turn off the cell radio to elminate interference.

and my phone isn't doing that - that I know of.

have any of you guys tried or verified the USB 3.0 working in Linux or other OS's?

so haven't gotten to test the USB 3.0 issues and see if I can get usb 3.0 like speed.

but

I setup my phone and NAS box and Main PC (linux) so I can run FTP between those and my note 3. so I can get files off 802.AC - which is rather fast.
