Root USB cable to PC turns on car panel

When I attach phone to PC with non-branded cable it starts up normal USB connection menu, and also initiates Car Panel mode.
This doesn't occur with cable supplied with phone.....pls help....

Please don't say use HTC cable, as any plain large to small USB style cable SHOULD work.

i use any cable and its fine for me....

So your cable isn't really "normal" usb. people paying extra for htc to get that kind of cable.
Go to car panel -> settings ->car kit and uncheck "auto-launch". That will work for you
