I'm a delighted newcomer to Android, having just got a Linx Commtiva tablet. Through over-enthusiasm, I've already reached the limit of apps I can install! Would a larger micro-SD card help? Or would that only allow extra media to be stored (MP3's, photos, e-books etc)?
 
Thanks for that info! - but how do I know if my device has or supports that? (I did warn you I'm a newbie, despite being pretty literate with Windows!)

Well, it seems to be an ARM11 running Android 2.2, so as 2.2 is the release that first officially supplied the apps2sd feature it should...
 
Just remember the app has to support it.

Out of 20 apps i've checked so far. Only 3 allowed Apps2SD. And even then, only half of the apps data would be moved to the SD.

It'll help but not much

True... but every bit helps... You can only have what you can have... sometimes a few more are enough... But still there is a limit/max you can have on any given configuration... I've hit it a few times.. so just got used to it depending on config of particular devices...

It'll probably help if you were using large programs (like games and office suites), most of the apps installed on mine are mostly utilities (ES File Explorer, eBook Readers, gallery managers, etc.) that don't have datafiles, so it'll likely depend on what you use your unit for.
