galaxy Nexus running 4.1.1
I connect my Nexus to my computer via USB often. I can see and transfer files to and from my computer and/or phone.
However, lately, when I try to back up my files by simply dragging and dropping all the folders contained in "Internal Storage" (about 42 total folders) to a folder on my computer - the phone will take forever to process this information. Then it will copy only about 4 folders.
I then drag and drop the individual folders until both the phone and computer have the same amount of items. However, in many cases the subfolders will not transfer (i.e. DCIM will transfer to the computer but not have a "Camera" subfolder in it).
For me this is frustrating because it is a simple way to see and feel secure about seeing certain photos or doc files on my computer and knowing that I have them backed up. But, now there is an issue suddenly.
I am connecting as "Media Device (MTP)" as the only other option is "Camera (PTP)".
