usb connection tablet to phone

Hi all, this is probably a stupid question but as i could not find in the forums ill post here.

i have a infuse 4g, i just got a thrive,

now for question... when plugging the infuse to the thrive (via) usb cable i show the infuse with a connection however i find no such notification on the thrive nor can i see in the storage section any connection to this.

im trying to pull pics off phone, in future other things.

do i need to do something to the thrive in order to make this possible?
thrive is store bought wifi only no data connection i can via bluetooth transfer, but it is SLOWWWWWW.

any and all help welcome!

Forget cable transfers!

Get ES File Manager and transfer files between devices on the same network just like you'd do between laptops and PCs.
