Help USB Connection to pc

My pc does not "see" my Captivate when I connect via USB. Any suggestions?

Turn USB Debugging on

Settings -> Applications -> Development.

Also make it a mass storage device.

Make sure u pull the notification bar down and mount your phone

mine lost connection while transfering data now windows says something wrong with hardwire and ive tried all the known common sollutions its always been a chore to connect from day one but now I think somethings wrong with my phone man this is frustrating.

My phone seems to lose the ability to connect to the computer about every other day. I'm not certain if it's a particular app that is running or if it just somehow 'corrupts' itself to the point the computer won't recognize. Certainly not as plug and play friendly as some phones I've used but overall I like the phone too much for this to drive me to return it.

I'm having the same issue, it seems I have to reload the drivers every time I want to change the music I keep on the sd card :/ very frustrating.
