Help USB Connection to retrieve photos

Dentul

Newbie
When I connect USB to DNA, I see the "Internal Storage" drive pop up in Windows Explorer. When I try to open a photo in 100MEDIA folder, it shows that it is located on my PC C:Drive in Users\app data\local...

Anyone have an idea what happened. It all started when my PC auto-intstalled HTC Sync Drivers and that stupid program. I disabled those drives on my PC that pop up when USB connects.

Thanks anyone.

I had a similar problem that VZW and HTC couldn't solve when trying to load mp3 files from my PC (WinXP) to my DNA with the USB cable. My PC saw my phone as a camera but would not allow access. I had to uninstall HTC Sync and tried accessing my phone, no luck. Installed the latest version of sync and though it didn't work at least I finally had access to my phone thru My Computer and loaded up some albums. My old Thunderbolt always just showed up as a memory device with easy access.

Yes, I uninstalled HTC Sync Manager but left the drivers, per another post. When I open the JPG's through Windows Explorer with a viewer (I use FastStone Image Viewer) in my DCIM\100MEDIA folder, it shows the file location is on my PC in users\data\temporary Internet Files. I think it has to do with thumbnails settings? In addition, a right click does not show the usual options such as save to, open with, etc.
