Help usb debugging doesn't do anything

i plug in usb, set to debug mode, i hear 2 clicks on the pc, indicating it's found 2 drives, both phone and sd card, then that's it. windows explorer shows 2 extra drives but shows devices not available

Have you downloaded Samsung Kies PC Suite? This contains the USB drivers.
