Root usb debugging, leave on?

now that i'm rooted and using safestrap and titanium bu do i need to keep usb debugging on. I turned it off but when I went to back up an app titanium bu warned that I needed to have debugging on for stability. I enabled it for the bu but was wondering i if I needed it on in case I have a problem that needs me to restore using safestrap or titanium. Sorry if this seems a obvious question but I read that debugging could eat battery and I always look for battery saving options. Thank you, dave

I wouldn't worry about turning it off for battery savings. Whatever it could eat is negligible, but I've never heard anywhere else about it eating battery.

The slight security risk is mentioned above, it can be used to get past a lock screen or pull things from the device *in the hands of someone who knows how to do it (not your average Joe)*

I personally leave it on. It benefits me nearly every week, so the minimal risk is worth me not having to turn it on and off constantly

thanks. I guess I was worried that if i needed to use safestrap, debugging would have to be on. is this a correct assumption?
