Help USB debugging with a cracked screen.

Jan 27, 2016

I have a Sony Xperia Z3 with a cracked screen. The phone still powers on, I can connect it to my computer and it is recognized as a removable disk but I cannot access the phone files on my PC. I am guessing this is because the phone is not in USB debugging.

Since the screen is cracked and I cannot change any phone settings, is there any other way I could get my computer to recognize the phone as a drive so I can access my files?

I have a replacement plan and a new phone will be here in a few days but I have to send them my broken phone when the new one gets here and would love to get my pictures and videos off my old phone before that.

Sorry for the delayed, reply Jason, but I think that if you don't have USB debugging enabled or an HDMI port on your device with which you could cast your screen to an external monitor, then there's probably not much hope (as you already surmised).

I'm not conversant enough with Sony devices to know if there are other options available to you.
