Root USB Device not recognized cannot unroot/update

Cannot connect to my phone via usb. My phone is rooted, but I just want to return it to stock. I tried hard reset, uninstalling samsung drivers re-installing, usb debugging, USB drive, and even trynig the cam+vol+pwr and still my pc doesnt see my phone. Tried other PCs same results, rebooted my phone and PC still no progress. Tried multiple USB ports. OTA update doesnt work because of root.

I'm using the cable that came with the phone and when I enable or disable debugging windows has "USB Device Not Reconized" pops up. Otherwise windows doesn't see phone at all and it just charges. Phone works fine otherwise. I never use the usb port because I have a spare battery charger and swap batteries that way. I am running Windows 7, in the past I have been able to connect and copy files to phones flash card. Not sure what has happened between then and now but USB doesn't seem to work anymore.

1. Is there a way to fix the USB connection problem?
2. How can I return my phone back to stock from root?
3. How can I update GB?

I am working on the same problem. My phone was once recognized, but know I cannot seem to get it to find it. This makes it impossible for Odin to work, ADB doesn't recognize the device.........I'm sure it's a usb driver conflict in windows. It says that the driver is installed but it's just not working like it should. When I find out what it is I'll post it for you all.

I had the same issue with the drivers. I went to the samsung site and downloaded their KIES software. It's a program that allows you to sync files between computer and phone. BUT it does not work with the Prevail at this time to sync files.

BUT it does install the usb drivers as it installs the program. I didn't have an issue with unrecognized device after that. And

You might want to give it a try

Thanks for the help, I cain't wait to get home to try it. Somehow I remember when trying to troubleshoot uninstalling this same software, it came with a Samsung Galaxy Tab I once had. I'll will give it a try.

Tried installing the Keis software, but still doesn't recognize the device. However I know when I try installing the update it enters recovery mode (I think that's what it's called) and I could install from the SD card, but I'm not sure how I would do that.

I have a couple of cables, I install Kies, not much luck. I was able to see the device with adb in debug mode. Then from there I went to download from the menu. It worked.

I will be Darned! Finally after two hours of PC not recognizing Prevail. Simple went to Apps > Development > Degugging> turned off debugging > Prevail showed up under Computer. This works all. Now lets get down to business!
