Help usb device not recognized

Hello everyone.I need some help.My MT is not being recognized by my PC's.And I can't seem to find a real solution.All I get is usb device not recognized.Do I have a bad MT?Any help would be great.Is anyone else having this problem?

1. Download anycut from the market (free)

2.select "new shortcut"

3.Select Activity

4.Choose "Select COM Port Mode" (should be in the "s" section)

5.Then Hit "ok" dont rename

6.Go to homescreen and click on your shortcut "select com port mode"

7.Next make sure that "diag" is checked and not "Mass Storage"

Thank you for the quick and helpful reply.That is what I ended up doing and it worked.Does everyone with a MT have to do this or just certain production models?

I'm getting the same thing right now. Just got my MT today and tried to plug it in to my Win7 pc to put some music on it and my PC saw it but then it said "failed" and then it comes up with exclamation point for the phone.

So Anycut from the market will allow me to see the phone on my computer as a usb drive to add music over to it?

Still trying to figure out the new phone...

I do not have "Select COM Port Mode" in Anycut

Went thru like 3 times, even rebooted - still nada.

Wifi + Samba Filesharing for now only.

If your running on miui or cynogenmod this method wont work for you,I've tried it you can make a shortcut to select com port.

It is not every phone, as win7 has always recognized mine. No matter what ROM I was using.

Me too... although I did have to change it to diag in Select com port for QPST to recognizze it...

I've already done it.. and I'm not on stock so it doesn't really matter to me...
