Help usb disk drive not detecting

In windows7 new htc desire usb behaving weird, can't see disk drive. Even htc sync can't connect. sometime out of 100 times its detects 1 or 2 times. Any setting to be done?

Just to clarify, you are pulling down the notification bar and selecting Disk Drive from the USB options?

Personally I find HTC Syn Notoriously unreliable to get a connection.

Got the same problem. My PC won't detect my Desire 9 out of 10 times... This problem appeared after updating to Froyo...

I'm having the same problem with the incredible - pc not able to detect it as a disk drive after updating to Froyo.

I have this problem too. My phone acts like I am connecting and disconnecting it constantly. I think maybe a USB issue but I don't know how to resolve it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I try to pull down the bar at top but it just continuously keeps recycling. I can't even get it to stay on charge only.

I bought a new usb cable and the problem went away. Another thing to try.
