Help USB file transfer

alfick3

Android Expert
I want to transfer some music to my SD card on the phone, from my computer via usb. When I'm looking at the windows explorer, I see several folders listed for "removable disk." Where do I put the music?

It might not have created the "Music" folder yet if it has not needed it. You can create it on your own and place the music there.

If you have a mini card adapter and a card reader on your computer, you would probably be better served to just do it that way. The file transfer will probably be faster.

What filesystem does the DROID use for it's SD Card?

If it's not FAT32 then you may have a problem mounting it in Windows.

I honestly have not checked what my card's file system is, but out works just fine in both the phone and being read by Windows through a card reader. If the card is formatted in the phone that might give Windows problems. The card probably comes in FAT32, but I am not sure.
