USB Host Mode?

Anybody know of a custom kernel that supports USB host mode for the ms840?
Or if there are any mods/workarounds that enable USB host mode? Is there any way to just 'add' a driver for it without modifying the kernel?
And last question... is the hardware on the LG Connect even capable of host mode?
