Root USB issue...computer not recognizing...

So my Infuse is rooted and flashed with CM7 for about a month now....but this week all of a sudden the USB isn't working with the phone to the computer....I've tried replacing the chord...I thought it worked because that night I had no problems uploading files....but now it's the same again....

I've read that it isn't really an issue with the hardware but some sort of bug on the phone (Not Rom)...I also read there are secret codes you dial on the phone dial pad that can access issues like this....what I found was with Galaxy series phones...some of the codes worked....but some of them didn't and the one to fix the USB problem for the Galaxy phones didn't...

Any ideas?

I don't know about the code thing, but the issue you're encountering is definitely not new. Just about every other person has had some kind of USB connection issue with this phone. I myself have an issue where the phone will not connect if I use a generic charger.

In addition to that issue, when I connect my phone to my VAIO laptop, the touchscreen goes berserk and will respond like it's having a seizure. Interestingly, it's like that only with my VAIO notebook and not any other brand computers.

Regardless, some are saying that the micro-USB on the phone is shaped a tad bit odd so that a lot of the cables end up not fitting perfectly snug. I don't know how true that is though, since a lot of people seem to be having issues even with their original "stock" cord.

I appreciate you responding in both forums...

I've read however on other Galaxy devices you can input codes into dial pad and override the USB port...I read that it's faulty software not necessarily the hardware....only problem is...Samsung makes a shit ton of devices and I not even all the codes I looked up eve work on it....

I've tried different cables and devices...they all do nothing but charge the phone...so it makes no sense at all...

HI,
Are you willing to sell your Samsung INFUSE?
I just need to know if the screen is in shape or not.

Just to tell you, i am not any shop keeper or dealer, just an end-user.
