Help USB Issues, even after driver install and debug mode.

Hey everyone,

I for whatever reason still cant hook up my phone to my computer. I have installed the USB driver off the Samsung website and I turned my phone on "USB Debug Mode" And still my computer doesnt recognize it after I plug it in.

Any idea's?

Did you use the oem cable that came with the phone.

I had the same problem and the reason was a cable a bought from Dollar Tree for $1. The problem was solved after I got me a brand named cable.

I have been trying forever to get this fixed:confused:, any luck?
Were you able to fix this problem?? I have the same issue.. USB Debuging is turned on and then when I click on the E: (Removable disk), it says Please insert disk into drive E: What the heck???

not suppose to happen.

Try it on another PC if it still did not work and your are using 2 cables than the problem is from the phone ... go to corporate store and they will replace it for you right away.

I'm having this problem but it's not the cable. I just tried connecting to my ASUS computer with Windows 7 64 bit OS and I can not get the phone to open up & let me access the SD card; it asks me to insert a disk into the drive. I have the phone in debug mode and have selected to turn on the USB storage.

If I connect it to the old XP computer (10 year old computer) I have full access to the SD card. The problem is not in the cable. I'm using the exact same settings in the phone, the issue has to be with the Windows 7 computer not reading the Admire.

I have the indulge-drivers installed in both computers and even downloaded the samsung drivers that appeared in windows update in Win 7.

I wanted to transfer MP3s that are on the new ASUS hard drives to the SD and at this point it looks like I will have to remove the SD card and put it into an adapter to access it.

Anyone else have this issue with Windows 7 64 bit & inability to access the SD card in the Admire?

I decided to sell my SSD and since my OS is on it I figured I'd do a fresh install of Win 7 on my new drive and after all the effort to update Win 7 I finally got it running and loaded the Admire driver in and no problem... Everything works as it should so the problem was somehow in a corrupted OS.

Wish I had an easier answer to the problem but this was what it took for me to have proper access to the SD card.

Cheers!
