I have 3 home made ones. They do work excellent. I bought a package of 5 300k resistors for $3 on ebay.

Ya I had no idea how simple it was.

Yeah resisters are used in a lot of "keys" for resetting and programming of things. I have a ton of different resisters that I have used to reprogram fire alarm panels etc.
