USB link Problem.

Have been using my LG Optimus V without problem for 2 months now all the sudden I get this message when I connect it to my computer "Device driver software was not properly installed" How can I tell if it's my computer or the phone? I have changed nothing I am running Windows 7 on a 1yr old Dell.

Most likely it's something on your Dell. Android phones in storage mode need only the basic set of drivers to mount properly. You might try reinstalling the drivers but as I don't have the same phone, the process will most likely be different. You might want to ask in LG Optimus V - Android Forums.
