Help USB messing up

So my phone just started acting really weird.

First, I can't charge my phone while it's turned off. It goes to the battery charging screen with the bar and then reboots, and this continues infinitely.

The other problem i just started having is that I'm getting "USB device not recognized" when i plug it into the computer. No USB notification pops up in my toolbar on my phone. When it does(rarely) i hit turn on Mass USB Storage but no directory shows up in my computer.

I'm not exactly sure whats wrong. I dropped my phone the other day but it gave no noticeable damage and the phone seemed to run fine after that. I don't know what else could have caused this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
Do you know what part if the phone hit the ground first? If it was the end with the usb port chances are your port was damaged. Hopefully you still are under your return time otherwise you'll have to send it away for warranty repair.
 
Yea i think my phone is broke. I even tried a factory reset, but no go. I think the usb port is damaged. :\
Yea i should be under warranty, i just got the phone in december.
 
I doubt it, because i even tried a different cord and it does the same things. I could always try my bros galaxy prevail's cord and see how that works but i think its the phone.
