Help USB mode turns off Apps and they dont turn back on.

I plug my phone (Optimus V) into my computer via usb cable and turn on USB Mode then when I turn Usb Mode off all the downloaded apps face picture change to the android face, the keyboard returns to stock keyboard so i have to go into options and change it to the desired keyboard, also Live wallpaper turns off and does not turn back on. Does anyone know why this happens? P.S. I have the phone rooted. Thanks

When you plug your mobile into your computer via USB it has to unmount the uSD card so it can read it. Anything that is moved to the card will not be available to run while unmounted. Try moving your non-stock keyboard and live wallpaper back to internal and see what happens.

This occasionally happens for me, just for a couple apps. You don't have to restart the phone - just go into Settings and unmount/remount the SD card and wait a minute.

Does the same thing happen when you unmount and remove the SD card?
I know I can always reinstall the apps but I would just like to know the simplest way to
transfer to my computer without losing any pics, videos, or apps on SD.

Later.

3 things have helped me with this situation:
1. If any apps do not show or work after uSD card has remounted, I move them to the system.
2. "Fast Reboot" from the market. Some times I have needed to close and restart running applications after remounting the uSD card. This works really well for this purpose.
3. "Extended Controls". It has a widget that allows you to scan media, which after selecting updates media files.
The only thing that will be directly affected by unmounting and mounting of the uSD card will be the apps that are stored on it. Those app that are adversely affected by this procedure will need to be moved to the system.
You will not lose anything stored on the uSD card,it will just be inaccessible by the phone until it is remounted
