Help USB Oddness

schenker

Newbie
Hello all,

Either today or last night, an oddness developed with my USB connection. The following things occur:

1) In my customized/themed superclean .9 rom [CUST], if I try to go Settings > USB Connection, I get a Force Quit.
2) In CUST, if I try to connect to my computer with USB Debugging Enabled, the computer won't find the hard drive, and Windows Explorer will crash.
3) In CUST, if I try to connect to my computer with USB Debugging disabled, I can explore the SD card without problem.
4) In a freshly flashed superclean .9 [CLEAN], I cannot explore SD card with USB Debugging Enabled, but I can with it disabled.
5) In CLEAN, if I try to select Settings > USB Connection, I get a message saying that I cannot proceed without disenabling USB Debugging.

Yesterday, I had no problem exploring the SD card while in USB Debugging. I do not know whether Settings > USB Connection would cause Force Quit before this.

This is strange. It is obviously workable, since I can access the sd card from my computer if need be so long as I disable USB Debugging, but I'm worried about proceeding if this is the harbinger of a future problem with the USB connection.
