USB OTG query

Today I tried connecting a USB keyboard to my S2, but it didn't work.
Connecting a mouse or pen drive were fine.
I remember the keyboard worked when I was on 2.3.3(I recently upgraded to 2.3.6 via Odin, Indian firmware).
Has anybody got a game-pad working on the S2?
Also please clear if a keyboard works or not!!

Two possible issues:

1. The SGS2's USB port doesn't put out much current; your keyboard may be too power-hungry for it.
2. I've read over at XDA that the OTG driver in the SGS2 only recognizes certain keyboards; if yours isn't on that list, it won't work. Here's a post describing the issue.
