The best solution here would be to use the usb for the MLH cable, and connect a bluetooth mouse and/or keyboard to the phone. I think this is the only way to have video out and external control at the same time for this phone.

You're going through so much work just to use a Ps3 controller wired you know. There is an all I have actually used to use a Ps3 controller with this phone that's available on Google Play and it uses Bluetooth. All you have to do is change the Bluetooth address on the Ps3 controller to match your phones BT address using a program you download on a computer. And once you plug the controller back into a ps3 it will sync back to the ps3

I am familiar with the app Sixaxis Controller as well as the app Sixaxis Compatibility Checker. If you read earlier in the thread, it has already been discussed that a sense based rom will not support a wireless ds3. I have been able to use a wireless controller on my HTC EVO V using a jellybean rom but on these roms I have had issues with TV out as well as stability when going above stock clock. I have tried a couple ICS senseless roms but I have had negative results with the compatibility checker. Ideally at this point my intent is to have a portable multi-console. I would like to be able to hook the phone up to a tv and play two player games with a friend. If I find a JB rom that has a functioning tv out and is stable at 1.5Ghz then I should be set. I have read that the sixaxis controller app supports two wireless controllers.
Originally when I first posted here my intent was to use a ds3 for on the go gaming, that desire has been met with my icontrolpad. The icontrolpad solution is also more portable and thus practical then lugging around a ds3.

Kind off and old thread but I recently purchased a fake ps3 controller brand arsenal and when I connected to my evo v its recognized but I'm unable to use it in games like dead trigger also I have this app that tells you the axis and stuff but nothing is show upon any help to fix it anything is accepted I really want to use it !!!

The problem is that's its a third party PS3 controller. I got Sixaxis (WirelessBT) + MHL working perfect on 4.0.3 + 3.6 Sense. It took me over 2 months to find a combo of Hboot/ROM/Kernel that actually worked. Not to mention the fact that the hdmid likes to just tweak out every once in a while, forcing me to manually set video_mode.
