Hmmm ... have you tried https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kwull.ntfsmounter ? It states that it's compatible with the Nexus 4, but does it actually work for our OTG needs? I don't have a USB [AB] to mini-USB adapter to check it with.

I have a USB OTG laying around my house somewhere. I have tomorrow off (for now) and I can do some testing if anyone would like me to. I don't have many devices I can test as the only keyboards and mice I have are all Bluetooth, but I can test a flash drive.

Hey thanks! Unfortunately my Nexus 4 broke and I am currently waiting for the replacement device. Hopefully it will get here soon so I can try that out.
Would you be able to test the app listed above with a normal flash drive? That is really the only use I have for USB OTG.

I tried it. Didn't seem to do anything other than ask for SU access. My flash drive was not mounted
Dang that's a bummer. Hopefully somebody will be able to figure this out soon. I bought a 64GB flash drive in anticipation.

I have a 64 GB Lexar USB 3.0 stick for general use amongst the machines, and a 64 GB Class 10 microSDXC that I bought for an anticipated SG S3 before committing to the Nexus 4, hoping that such functionality would be here soon.

SANOXY Micro USB Host Mode OTG Cable will be tried when it arrives. I already have CM10.1 installed for a ROM. For less than $1, how can one go wrong even if it doesn't work?

Yeah, I think I paid less than $3 for mine. I don't think I've ever even used it, just one of those things that was cheap and I thought it would be nice to have if I ever wanted to use it.

No, it arrived badly damaged today ... both ends were crushed and deformed so that neither end would fit.

I think I read somewhere on xda that it was working going to have to double check but pretty sure there's a way to make it work :O
If you could find that post, it would be greatly appreciated. I haven't been able to find anything about it anywhere.

Unfortunately I am not seeing anything on there where they said they got it to work.
