Help USB Problem

Each time I try and connect my Motorola Triumph to my Hp Mini Windows 7 laptop with a USB it connects and then disconnects and connects and disconnects and repeats over and over again. I can't get it to stay connected. Both my laptop and my phone reads that they are both connected via USB cable but it automatically gets disconnected a second later. How do I get them to stay connected without it getting interrupted constantly? Is it because of my laptop or the phone?

you should backup (let this be a last resort as this issue is so minor) to a time your system was stable. It could be the rom was a bad download, a mod you did, a bad usb cord (i think your cord is bad...i had this problem) or even a corrupt sd card.

if you have another computer you can eliminate one by one. I dont think its ever a good idea to not have at least two of everything. Just in case one becomes corrupted.

Also make sure USB debugging is on.

I had this problem with the intercept, it was a bad cord and sd card. Once I got a new one it stayed connected, but the only way to know in your case is process of elimination :)

I think it is probably an issue wuth the microUSB port on your phone. Mine will do that sometimes and I have to wiggle the USB cord until it is in a position where that stops.

I got it to work! Thanks guys. I got my brothers USB cable for his MT and used it and I'm connected. I guess the problem I was having was because I was using a USB cable from the OV.

i tried using the USB cable from my old OV and my LG Vortex and they had that exact same problem.

only the cable that came with the triumph and the cable from my LG Quantum works.

weird, you would THINK a usb cable is a usb cable, apparently not

If you have to many problems with your USB port write Virgin Mobile an email. I did and complained it stopped working and that the charging would only work when the cable was wiggled around. The RMA my phone with a new one within 2 days of the email. They give you a new phone with no battery or back cover, you must use your old one. They also give you an envelope to mail back you old one free of charge within 45 days or they will deactivate your account. This was all free with no insurance ever on my phone. I believe they know this to be a design flaw and a major issue.

If you hate dealing with this problem do as I did. There customer service is amazing...at least for me!
