Hi Guys,

Heres my problem.. I cannot get my computer to install the drivers for the xoom. Im running xp pro.. when i plug it in to my computer via usb I get install drivers screen and when attempting to install the drivers it fails.. which in turn ends up making my computer not see the device at all..

Heres what Ive done so far..

Tested on a laptop.. I plug in the usb wire and bam! installs drivers automatically and sees its a xoom plugged in and i can do whatever i please..

FYI: laptop runs win 7

But i need to get this going on my desktop.. its got all the goodies on it...

HELP!

- Thanks!

refresh my memory... are there any drivers that you need to install to the computer first or is it simple plug n play? im still running old school xp on a laptop here but i do have a HTPC that is win 7...

hmm i just plugged up the tablet to the computer (old school win xp pro) and it shwos up as mtp and the hard drive is ready to be fondled... :) did you try another computer?

did you try usb debugging?

just to throw it out there, did you try a different usb port (im sure you did)? try a different cable? im using one of the monoprice cables i purchased...

tried every usb port on the thing lol and i dont think its the cable because... itll work in my laptop just not my desktop.

I wish moto would just post the darn drivers for download... they have a driver manager thing but its useless...

so i plug it in it starts to try to install the drivers then it says there was a problem installing the drivers etc etc your device may not function properly, that goes away and then im left with my xoom plugged into the computer but my computer doesnt even acknowledge its existence...

No go with those either and there are yellow exclamation points under other devices on MZ600 and if i have debugging enabled on MTP....
