Help USB Starting to short out...

It's looking like my USB is finally starting to short out. I watch a lot of video and use the USB port a lot (also for charging obviously). If I sometimes touch the cable the phone makes the charging started sound. If I hold the USB end a certain way it will make the charging started sound too. Am I wrong? It will be a pain in duh arse if I have to start swapping batteries and take out the mem card to do what I have been doing with the usb port. Any chance we could get the Samsung Mega here... ?

Yes, they all have the same behavior that's why I think it's the usb port and not the cables. (forgot to mention that)

Forgive me asking the obvious but is the phone still in warranty and/or do you have insurance?

Got it off Craigslist new, so no. Doubtful. (Knew that before buying off CL)

I found a replacement usb port and changed it out. SUCCESSFUL!

I'm on my 3rd phone due to port issues that rendered my phone useless..att did not stand behind me on 1st but Samsung did & replaced my phone. Then it went out 2 mon later, and then att stood behind me & that was a week ago..but i am already having charging problems again..i thought it was due to otter box port being to small so i found a charger with small end called frogz..it worked the longest but I've gone thru 30 plus chargers that work for a day our so..I'm so aggravated
