Help USB Tether not working (FIXED)

Sooner or later, I'm going to have to use my PC that doesn't have wireless capabilities. I figured instead of buying a wireless adapter, i would check out my phone's USB tethering feature. The only problem is it doesn't work. It shows up in my network adapters as Local Area Connection 2 (HTC Remote NDIS based Service), but it never gives me internet access. If it helps any I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit. Is there some sort of wizardry I have to do in order to get it to work? lol.

EDIT: nevermind, i got it to work.
