I have read tons about "rooting" to get wireless tethering, but can I just use my Droid X with unlimited data as a wired tether via the phone to USB connection?
All I want to do is use the phone to get online with my laptop or PC just as I currently do (albiet I have to pay every month) with my flip phone and VZ Access Manager.
