USB Tethering?

I went from a rooted Dinc to the Inc2 and hate I can't wireless tether. I tried using PDANet to USB tether but it won't work. My MBP just says internet connection failed. If there another free way use the computer off my phones internet?

Doesn't the hotspot hack from the Inc 1 work on the 2? Friend of mine with inc 2 says it does.

I thought you had to rooted to do that?

Will this work for 3G mobile hotspot? I use PDAnet and it works just fine.

That's what its for, wireless hot spot. Don't need to use USB cable.

Works great. One related question: how do you change the default wifi password? I can type over it, but cannot figure out how to get the change to hold.

Make sure the hotspot is OFF when making the changes , see if that helps.

It doesn't. When ON I can't even make the change. When Off, the change won't hold.

I don't usually use a password due to limited range and infrequent use. I added a WPA2 password greater than 8 characters while hotspot off then turned hotspot on and it seemed to stick after turning off and on again.

Turning it ON after entering the new password was the key. Thanks.
