Root USCC Desire BravoC (CDMA) - help me unroot!

So the RUU is not available from USCC yet and my Desire is messed up. It has been in reboot loops for a while and now mobile internet never comes on. I read the other un-root post but that seems to be GSM Desire, not CDMA. I have been told I can unroot by running the Alltel RUU but I wonder if HTC would think that is weird when I send it in for repair considering it is a US Cellular phone? Please help - I know I tool the risk of voiding the warranty by rooting but I definitely have a defective phone! I would love to get it fixed.
