Root use DX2 Bootstrap instead DX1-correct or NOT

I was viewing a thread on this, just want to make sure. Use DX2 Bootstrap INSTEAD of DX bootstrap?
PERIOD!!!!

even if I am using .340 ?

its totally up to you, although i've seen about 3 or 4 times more people be more successful with the D2 Bootstrap. using .340 is just fine, so no need to worry about that .

The Droid 2 bootstrap works on all versions of the X.

The Droid X bootstrap only works on Gingerbread if you uncheck USB debugging.

So I use the D2 bootstrap, so I have one less thing to think about.

And to clear that up a little further, you will be using the Droid2 (not droidX2, I don't think that exists, yet...lol)) bootstrap, seems you had a little confusion there.
